Remote Access

The Engineering Computer Lab offers remote access into many of our lab computers. The following steps will allow you to make use of this resource. Please read these instructions COMPLETELY and THOROUGHLY.

Warning

Please Note that the computers will restart overnight and may otherwise reset without warning, so save often to not lose your work.

Step 1: Connect to the Campus Network

Connect to the network on campus or use the USU VPN External Link Icon to estabish a connection.

Step 2: Open Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection

Many Windows machines come with this application preinstalled. If you are on a Macintosh, you can find the application in the App Store.

Step 3: Input the Computer Name

Our machines follow the naming scheme of ENGR[303 or 301](01 - 40).engrlab.usu.edu
ex. ENGR30114.engrlab.usu.edu or ENGR30327.engrlab.usu.edu
