Student Travel Grants

Requirements and Instructions

Updated May 2022

PhD and Masters (Plan A), and undergraduates admitted into EURP students in the College of Engineering can apply for funding to help cover the costs to participate in an academic conference. Selected recipients may be offered $300 for travel and registration expenses. Conference participation should take place before your dissertation defense. The funding is provided by the Dean's Office, and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis until funds run out. Submissions will be reviewed by the College Graduate Program Committee.

To qualify for funding you must:

  • Be a College of Engineering PhD or Masters (Plan A) student in good standing with your department.
  • Be presenting (poster or oral presentation) at a nationally recognized research conference (i.e. ASCE, ASEE, ASME, IEEE, etc.).
  • Be endorsed by your major professor and your department head. You will upload this endorsement, along with a research abstract using the file upload box.
