Award Description
The College of Engineering will award three Outstanding PhD Scholars of the Year at the college awards ceremony. Each recipient will receive $500 plus $500 toward a scholarly conference of their choice. The awards are open to PhD Students only.
Procedure:
Nominations must be received from a faculty member only. The selection committee consists of the Graduate Program Leaders of each department.
Submission Materials:
- Advisor’s nomination letter
- Nominee’s CV that documents:
- status of completion of qualifying exam
- status of completion of proposal defense
- GPA
- scholarly presentation
- research publications
- leadership or outreach activities
