Senior Design Night will take place on May 3 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Taggart Student Center, USU Logan campus. Friends, family, faculty and staff and members of the community are invited to speak with students and mentors about their projects.

The mechanical, aerospace, civil and environmental engineering projects will be displayed in the second-floor ballroom. Biological, electrical and computer projects will be in the Sunburst Lounge. Projects that have to be set up outside will be displayed on the TSC patio.

This year’s event features 74 projects from 264 students and over 60 sponsors and mentors, totaling a cumulative 3,000 hours of work spent designing and building. These projects represent and benefit companies including Cache Valley Transit, Logan City, Northrop Grumman, ThermoFisher Scientific and more.

264 students from all engineering departments will present their senior projects to friends, family, faculty and the general public.

Projects include everything from cellular agriculture and new building designs for Logan and Nibley to advanced laser tag and a chocolate bar foiling system.

“We are grateful for the time and support our sponsors and mentors provided to our students,” said Dixon Nielson, Director of Industry Relations for the College of Engineering and the lead planner for the event. “It is always a joyous opportunity for our attendees to listen to and see what students are doing through their projects.”
