The Society of Women Engineers will be hosting its 14th annual Evening With Industry with the hope of helping students kickstart their engineering careers. Students will have the opportunity to meet one on one with company representatives from over 23 different disciplines across the Western United States.

The event will take place Oct. 11 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Cache Valley Event Center in Logan. Sign-ups, along with additional information about the event can be found at the link below. SWE Evening With Industry information

Notable names this year include The Space Dynamics Lab, Northrop Grumman and Hill Force Air Base.

Regan Tracy, the treasurer of SWE, says the goal of the organization is to create an inclusive community for women in STEM and advocate for equal opportunities for all. SWE is a global organization that focuses heavily on outreach and professional development for engineering students.

Tracy says she was able to get her foot in the door with Space Dynamics Laboratory thanks to her experiences at the Evening with Industry event.

“I know a ton of students who got their internships and jobs from this event,” she said. “When I walked into my SDL interview, the folks interviewing me said ‘I have heard such great things about you!’ All from my time at Evening With Industry.”

Abi Bradley, vice president of professional development for SWE and the one leading the event, added that she is thrilled to continue the tradition and hopes to make it a great experience for students.

“I am really glad for the opportunity to put on this year's Evening With Industry to help my fellow students find jobs and refine their networking skills,” Bradley said.
