College of Engineering Senior Design Night Returns
News Release — April 26, 2022 — Senior Design Night is back. After two years of being held virtually due to the pandemic, graduating seniors from the Utah State University College of Engineering will once again showcase their capstone projects in person at the Taggart Student Center.
The USU College of Engineering Senior Design Night is returning to in-person after two years of virtual events.
“Returning to an in-person Senior Design Night after two years of virtual events is a joy,” said Dixon Nielson, Director of Industry Relations for the College of Engineering. “Students, families, sponsors, mentors, and USU faculty and staff all appreciate the opportunity to see the projects and hear the student’s stories. The students always have very interesting experiences to share.”
This year’s event features 76 projects representing 250 students, 60 sponsors and mentors, and over 3,000 cumulative hours of work spent designing and building solutions to real-world Engineering problems. These projects benefit multiple companies across the aerospace, biological, computing, civil, electrical, environmental, and mechanical Engineering industries.
“We are very grateful for the time and support our sponsors and mentors provide to the students and their projects,” Nielson said.
Senior Design Night will be held on May 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Taggart Student Center. A free light dinner will be served and parking is validated. For directions, parking information, a complete list of Senior Design sponsors, and more visit engineer.usu.edu/senior-design.
