Biography

Hang Dai is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Utah State University. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in January 2021. Before joining Utah State University, he was a Research and Lead Engineer at GE Global Research and GE Aerospace Research from 2021 to 2025. His research focuses on power electronics and electromechanical energy conversion, with particular emphasis on transportation electrification, electromagnetic compatibility, and emerging applications, including AI data center power supplies. He currently serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Transportation Electrification and as a committee member of IEC CISPR/B.
