Frequently Asked Questions - Scholarships

Are there scholarships offered by engineering departments?

All College of Engineering scholarships are administered through the college, not by individual departments.

How do I apply for a scholarship?

To apply for a scholarship, click on the application button below. You will be prompted to create an account. Fill in the information and you will automatically be considered for all scholarships that you qualify for.

When is my scholarship application due?

You must complete your online scholarship application by 11:59 p.m. on Jan. 31. Please be aware that some applications require additional elements, including endorsements from former teachers, transcripts, etc. DO NOT wait until the last minute to complete your application.

I submitted my application. Now what?

Award notification takes place each spring. If you are awarded a scholarship, the funding will be applied to the following fall and, in most cases, spring semesters.

Can I thank the donor or donors who provided my scholarship funding?

Yes! Please do. Contributions from generous donors are what make our scholarship program possible. If awarded funding, you'll receive a small packet of information with instructions on how to write a letter of thanks to your donor(s).

Can I receive a university scholarship and an engineering scholarship?

Absolutely! You're encouraged to apply for any and all funding opportunities that you qualify for.
