Welcome to Spring Semester 2021

January 20, 2021

Jan. 20, 2021 — Welcome back, Aggie engineering students. We’re thrilled to see you returning to campus and online classrooms. We realize your university experience is still very much impacted by the pandemic, and we’re doing everything we can to provide a safe learning environment.

We also know that you are curious about our major spring events including commencement, Senior Design Night, Research Week, and others. Please know that we are actively working to provide details about these important events. We will provide an update as soon as possible. Please keep in touch through our college website, social media, and the weekly advising email, which you should receive each Monday morning at 9 a.m.

Remember that even with COVID restrictions in place, you still have access to student resources, including free tutoring, the Engineering Writing Center, a dedicated student study area, and our two famous makerspaces: the Idea Factory and the Metal Factory.

We recommend that you visit your academic advisor on a regular basis. Students who meet regularly with their advisor enjoy greater success. We also encourage you to join a club and to get involved in research or internship opportunities. Even with restrictions in place, there are many ways to stay connected.

We encourage you to do your part to keep yourself and your fellow Aggies safe and healthy. When you’re on campus, wear a face covering, practice social distancing, stay home when you’re sick, and practice prevention hygiene. By demonstrating care and kindness, we can all thrive and make the most out of this year.

Here’s to a successful spring semester. Again, a warm welcome to each of you. Good luck and Go, Aggies!
