College of Engineering Welcomes New Public Relations Specialist

Feb. 11, 2021 — Anessa Pennington has joined Utah State University as a public relations specialist in the College of Engineering.

She will serve in a dynamic role on the college’s public relations and marketing team to promote student and faculty success, engineering research and community outreach. She brings a wealth of writing and communication experience to the position.

Before joining USU, Pennington worked in a similar role at the BYU McKay School of Education. She is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and attended BYU and graduated in December with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and minors in editing and Arabic.

When away from work, Pennington enjoys baking, listening to podcasts, singing karaoke and binging her favorite BBC dramas. “I'm currently obsessed with Call the Midwife,” she said.

She has been married for three years to her husband, Graham, who studies computer science at Utah State.
