Monte Larson

She will support the dean and associate deans by assisting with scheduling tasks, promotion and tenure, faculty senate, accreditation, correspondence, faculty reviews and various College of Engineering functions and events.

Larson began her career at USU as a staff assistant in the Department of Nutrition and Food Sciences and later worked as the office manager for USU’s Public Relations and Marketing office. She went on to assist the provost and president at Weber State University before moving to New York where she managed the Office of the President at Columbia University.

“I’ve been back at USU for several years now working in the Management Department in the Huntsman School of Business,” she said. “After my children finished college, I decided that the time was right for me to go. I recently earned an associate degree, and I am now pursuing a bachelor’s degree in social work.”

Larson is originally from South Willard, Utah. She has four children, two grandchildren, a cat and an enormous puppy. In her free time, she enjoys camping, hiking and experimenting with permaculture on her property in Hyrum.

The College of Engineering’s faculty, staff and students welcome Larson and wish her tremendous success.
