Earthquake Engineering with Dr. Brady Cox
Lecture/Readings
Dr. Brady Cox is a professor in the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department at Utah State University. He specializes in earthquake engineering and has been a part of earthquake reconnaissance teams deployed around the world to study large and damaging earthquakes. He will discuss how studying at USU launched his earthquake engineering career and ultimately led to him to the White House where he received an award from the President of the United States. Food will be provided at this event.

The Aggie Engineer Essay Contest
Special Event
Utah State's Society of Women Engineers presents the Aggie Engineer Essay contest for females in 7th or 8th grade. Describe a science topic that you've learned about on your own time and how that topic is important to making the world a better place. Prizes will be given during an awards ceremony at USU's community night on February 24th. Essays may be submitted as a PDF to president.ususwe@gmail.com

The primary purpose of this event is to educate students about the variety of professional opportunities available to CEE soon to be graduates and assist them in making future career decisions. Students attending the evening may be pursuing internships, career positions, or may be interested in discussing general career advice.
