Pinewood Derby
Student Activities
The Pinewood Derby is an annual event for students and community members to compete in a Pinewood Derby style race. The cars made will be based on the traditional pinewood derby car but can be modified base on which class is entered. There are two classes: gravity and open. This event challenges people to be creative in creating a car that will be the fastest.
3D Bridge Competition
Student Activities
Let's see who can design the best bridge. We will be 3D printing bridges and testing for the best strength-to-weight ratio. Bridges must span over an 8" gap. The bridge must fit in a 3"x3"x10" box and weigh under 100g. The Bridge can only be made of ABS plastic. We can provide ABS material for one bridge. If you want us to print your bridge, send your .stl files to usu.sampe@gmail.com by Wednesday, Feb. 24 @12pm. For more information and/or questions send an email to usu.sampe@gmail.com
