Research Opportunities

Banerji Research Group is interested in welcoming motivated students to join our team. Interested applicants are encouraged to read the descriptions below and reach out to Dr. Banerji at srishti.banerji@usu.edu

Typically, research projects will include three main areas: (i) experimental investigations: small-scale and large scale; (ii) numerical simulations, primarily using finite-element methods; and (iii) developing design recommendations. Experiments help to understand the behavior of novel construction materials and innovative structural systems. Results from the experiments are then utilized to develop and validate numerical models for predicting response of structures under various scenarios. The outcomes of experimental and numerical studies are used to develop practical design approaches for advancing structural engineering.
