New Student Admission Requirements
Testing out of CS 1400
Students may take the CS 1400 Challenge Exam to receive credit for CS 1400. This provides students who already have a background in programming an option to begin with courses at their level of experience.
Admission Criteria for Computer Science Majors
| Student Status | CS Program Status | Acceptance Criteria |

| New first-year students | Admissible to the CS pre-professional program, as long as all acceptance criteria is met. | A minimum high school GPA of 2.5 |
| Transfer students with MATH 1210 (Calculus I) prerequisites, or higher | Admissible to CS pre-professional program, as long as all acceptance criteria is met. |

| Transfer students without MATH 1210 (Calculus I) prerequisites | Not admissible to CS. |
