Biography
Dr. Apoorva Chauhan is a Temporary Assistant Professor in the School of Computing at Utah State University (USU). Her research interests include Human-Computer Interaction, Crisis Informatics, and Education Research. She currently serves as an elected Board Member of the Information Systems for Crisis Response and Management (ISCRAM) Association.
Prior to joining USU, Dr. Chauhan worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology at Concordia University of Edmonton (Canada), and as a Postdoctoral Fellow in the David R. Cheriton School of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo (Canada).
Dr. Chauhan earned both her Master’s and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from USU. During her time as a graduate student, she received several prestigious awards, including:
- USU Doctoral Student Researcher of the Year, College of Engineering (2018)
- USU Outstanding Engineering Graduate Scholar, College of Engineering (2018)
- USU Outstanding Graduate Researcher, Computer Science Department (2018)
