Multi-domain biofilms and multi-domain communities are found in most natural and industrial environments. Multi-domain communities are very complex biological systems that may include a large number of species, including fungi, bacteria, algae.

Our group studies physical associations and molecular interactions within fungal-bacterial biofilms. These interactions may affect the influence of the bacterial-fungal complex on their biotic and abiotic environment.
