Fungal Biotechnology & Engineering (FBE) Lab
The FBE lab studies the potential use of microbes, particularly fungi, and biological processes for different applications including (i) the removal of pollutants from the environment, (ii) the recovery of resources from non-traditional sources considered as wastes (e.g., wastewater, agrowaste), and (iii) the development of novel alternative building materials (e.g., biocement).
