• Severe cases can cause scarring and require surgery

Solution

• LumenEARphototherapy system
• Shines UV light on the affected parts of the ear to effectively treat symptoms
• Useable by medical professionals in a clinical setting

Methods

• Earpieces with light guide designed to refract light onto the ear canal
• Control unit with LCD, buttons, and circuitry to control LEDs in earpieces

Conclusion

• Initial testing shows that treatment is effective
• Device functions as intended
• Work ongoing to prepare prototype for mass-production
• FDA compliance in progress
