Project Description
Babies’ sleep schedules are critical to development
Driving and roadtrips during planned nap times can disrupt this schedule
A device to combat the noise would allow for better sleep in the car
The proposed solution is an active noise cancelling attatchment for a comercially available carseat

Design Description
Two microphones will be used to detect the incoming and environment sound
A DSP board is used to analyze the input and compute an adaptive filter
A speaker is used to send cancelling signals creating a quiter enviornment (“One-ear Solution”)
Results
Simulation demonstrates the principles of the LMS algorithm
The fully digital input/output version successfully implements LMS functionallity
Revealed future opportunity for implementation with physical hardware
Conclusion
Simulation gives proof of concept for this application of active noise cancelling
Early indication from analog/digital version shows practicality to implment design
Further research would be needed to refine microphone setup and speakers for optimal cancellation
A smaller form factor with specialized DSP board would be necessary for comercial use
