      Flexure Testing of ABC Deck Panel Bridge

      This research was an investigation to quantify the behavior of a precast deck system.  As part of this investigation, a live‑load test was performed on a steel I-girder bridge made with Accelerated Bridge Construction (ABC) precast deck panels. When the bridge was decommissioned, a two girder specimen was salvaged and transported to Utah State University (USU) for shear capacity testing.

      Effectiveness of Carbon Fiber Retrofit Techniques

      Sixteen shear capacity tests were performed on eight decommissioned AASHTO prestressed concrete girders that had been in service for over forty-two years. There were two main objectives of this research. The first objective was to quantify the ultimate shear capacity of the in-service girders and the second objective was to investigate the effectiveness of various carbon fiber retrofit schemes.

      The Kettle River Bridge is an arched, steel cantilevered deck, Pratt Truss Bridge.  It was instrumented with 151 strain gauges on various beam, stringer and truss members.
