SAE USU: Mini Baja Kick-Off Meeting

The Society of Automotive Engineers at Utah State University is hosting its kickoff meeting to introduce leadership, organize a team, and talk about this year's SAE Baja International Collegiate Design Competition. SAE USU gives students hands-on experience designing, fabricating, and testing off-road automotive vehicles and components. Attend the SAE USU kick-off meeting to learn more.

Launch Your Engineering Career Fall Kick-Off

Special Event

The Launch Your Engineering Career (LYEC) is hosting a keynote address by Dr. Rebecca Dupaix, “Life’s Best Adventures Happen When You’re Detoured”. Refreshments will be served. Enter a raffle to win a Nintendo Switch Lite, one of two $50 Visa gift cards, or College of Engineering Swag. Aggie Ice Cream vouchers will be given to the first 100 people.

Rebecca Dupaix is a Professor in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department at Ohio State University. She received her BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from Utah State University in 1998 and MS and PhD degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2000 and 2003, respectively. Her research focuses on the mechanical behavior of polymers and soft biological tissues. She received a CAREER award from the National Science Foundation in 2008 for her work to improve polymer manufacturing processes across multiple length scales. Her soft tissue work includes applications ranging from injury biomechanics to neural prosthesis design. Her success in the classroom has resulted in several teaching awards, most recently the Ohio State University Alumni Association’s Distinguished Teaching Award in 2021. She enjoys teaching classes in statics, mechanics of materials, applied finite element analysis, and continuum mechanics.

FE Prep Workshop: Overview

Workshop/Training

Come and familiarize yourself with the resources available to prepare you for the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam! The FE Preparation workshop series will focus on preparing all MAE, BE, and CEE students to take the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam near the end of their degree. This workshop will focus on giving an overview of the FE, introducing the logistics of taking the exam, and explaining the study resources available to you for the FE exam.

Utah State Society of Women Engineers Internship Mixer

This event will be hosted by the USU chapter of the Society of Women Engineers. In preparation for our annual Evening with Industry event, we are providing students the opportunity to practice their networking skills. This will be accomplished by networking with other students and discussing summer jobs or internships. This will be a fun casual event with a mixed soda bar.
