Approximately 47 million (nearly 1 in 5) American adults are experiencing a mental health illness. In conjunction with its Aggies Thrive initiative, the Office of Human Resources has partnered with Campus Recreation for USU’s participation in World Mental Health Day on Monday, October 10, 2022. Pumpkin Toss

The Pumpkin Toss is one of ASME’s biggest events of the year! Teams build trebuchets and compete as they launch pumpkins across the field and try to hit targets such as pianos, trampolines, fridges, furniture, and whatever else North Logan City can find! Hundreds of people from the community come to watch and enjoy the food trucks and other booths that will be there. Joining a team is easy! Sponsors help provide supplies, and the ASME Council can help along the way.

Order of the Engineer Induction Ring Ceremony
Ceremony/Awards/Celebration
The Order of the Engineer was initiated in the United States to foster a spirit of pride and responsibility in the engineering profession, to bridge the gap between training and experience, and to present to the public a visible symbol identifying the engineer.
What is an Engineer's Ring Ceremony?
The Ring Ceremony is the public induction of candidates into the Order of the Engineer, during which the engineer candidates formally accept the Obligation of an Engineer and receive a stainless steel ring to be worn as a symbol on the small finger of the working hand.
What is the "Obligation of an Engineer"?
The Obligation is the formal statement of an engineer's responsibilities to the public and to the profession. The obligation is publicly accepted by an engineer during induction at a Ring Ceremony.

Wen obtained her Ph.D. in astrophysics from MIT and is currently a professor of physics at the University of Western Australia.
