BE Shines at the Institute of Biological Engineering Annual Conference

Two BE faculty members (Ron Sims and Jixun Zhan) and 14 students attended the Institute of Biological Engineering (IBE) national conference in Ames, Iowa (April 13-15, 2023). Our BE students swept the major awards in the poster and bioethics essay competitions at this conference:

Poster competition - Graduate category

  • 1st: Amanda Moravek
  • 2nd: Ammar Mussaji

Bioethics Essay competition

  • 1st: Elise Barton

In addition, Joshua Wintch was elected to be a graduate councilor and Jixun Zhan as President-Elect of IBE.
