Come visit Utah State University to experience a day in the life of an engineer!

March 23 – 24, 2018

Calling all high school girls in grades 9 – 12! Explore engineering by performing experiments, talking to professors, browsing the club fair and meeting current students. Visit the USU Observatory and explore android dreaming, dive into programming, circuitry, DNA, structures, and so much more!

Registration is $20.00. Food and lodging are included at Utah State University, Logan Campus. Registration will be capped at 65 students.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: If my child does not stay overnight, do I still have to pay the full $20.00 registration fee?

A: YES, registration fee includes lodging, food, workshop fees, and more.

Q: Can parents attend the event?

A: YES, parents are welcome to attend the event. An additional $15 fee will be charged per adult upon registration for a lunch.

Q: Can parents stay overnight with their student at the University Inn?

A: NO, University Inn housing will only be provided for the female student participants. Parents must find overnight lodging at a different location.

Q: Will my student be sharing a bed with another student?

A: NO, This is against University policy. Each student will have either one other female high school student or adult female SWE chaperon roommate in a separate bed. Students can request a specific roommate upon registering.

Q: What does my student need to bring?

A: If the student is staying overnight, bring clothes, toiletries, etc.. No other items will be necessary for the event.

Q: What is the detailed agenda?

A: A detailed agenda will be provided after registering in a confirmation email. If more information is needed in advance, feel free to contact USU SWE.

Q: How do I pay the registration fee?

A: Payments can be made online by clicking the "PAY HERE" button on the registration website. The online payment system will take you through USU's donation site.

Q: Will food be provided for parents?


Q: What do I do if I cannot make the check in times?

A: Check in is open from 5:00 - 6:00 pm on Friday and 7:30 am - 8:00 am on Saturday. If you cannot make these times, please contact USU SWE to make accommodations. ARRIVING ON TIME IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED.

Q: Can I pick up my student before check-out?

A: YES, The student will need to notify their chaperon if they will be picked up early. No reimbursement or discount will be provided for those who chose this option.

Q: Will parking be available?

A: YES, A map of parking locations and costs will be provided in the confirmation packet after registering. Some Friday evening parking may charge a fee depending on time and location. Parking on Saturday is free in most areas.
