Dr. Blake Tullis
Dr. Blake Tullis is the 2016 recipient of the Eldon J. Gardner Teacher of the Year Award. Dr. Tullis is a professor of civil and environmental engineering. He specializes in hydraulic/physical modeling; hydromachinery; valve testing; flow meter calibration; pump engineering and pump intakes; culvert design for environmentally sensitive installations, hydraulic resistance in channels/pipes with composite roughness, and erosion control.
Dr. Tullis has made national and international news headlines in recent years for his expertise in labyrinth weir spillway design and other areas of hydraulics design.
